Paper-Piecing Stars Part 12
Paper-Piecing Stars Part 12
After the successful class for beginners, we decided to add more paper piecing classes. We plan to use the 60 Fabulous Paper-Pieced Stars Book by Carol Doak to pick and choose different stars to work on over the next few months. We will work on one or two blocks each month and see where it goes. The cost of the class is $25 for the first class and $15 for any additional classes. You will need to bring your sewing machine, standard sewing supplies, cutting mat, straight ruler or Add-A-Quarter Ruler, rotary cutter, and 60 Fabulous Paper-Pieced Stars Book. The Sewing Studio will provide copies of the block on paper-piecing paper, and an iron and ironing mat for each participant. It is suggested that you purchase a Layer Cake of fabric and 2 yards of background fabric to create your blocks. We have had lots of interest in Paper Piecing! We are starting the year off with a great first class. It will get you comfortable with the ideas of Paper Piecing. Uptown/Midtown Bag
Join Natalie to learn how to pull together this fun and useful bag. This bag is similar to the Poppins Bag but a little easier to put together. There is no hand sewing. The cost of the class is $25. You will need to bring your sewing machine, walking foot, standard sewing supplies, cutting mat, straight ruler, rotary cutter, Uptown/Midtown Pattern, and needed fabric and supplies. The Sewing Studio will provide an iron and ironing mat for each participant. It is important to make sure you have all of your pieces cut out and finish the quilting of the main body before the class day so that we can make sure you will complete the project that day. Embrilliance Essentials: The Basics for Beginners
Embrilliance Essentials: The Basics for Beginners
Embrilliance is a program you can purchase to edit and create embroidery designs. We will spend our time in this class learning about the different icons, merging files, fitting to hoop size, opening files, and layering. The cost of the class is $25. You will also need to purchase the Embrillance Essentials Product. You will need to have this load onto your laptop and ready to go for the class. We will not have time to get it loaded that evening. If you need our help, give us a call and we will schedule a time with Natalie to help you download the program to your laptop. You will need to bring your laptop to the class. Baby Lock IQ Positioning Class (Solaris, Altair, Meridian, Destiny)
Baby Lock IQ Positioning Class (Solaris, Altair, Meridian, Destiny)
Join Natalie for the day and learn more about the IQ Positioning Technology built into the upper level machines. We will create a cute cell phone case using some of the specialized features of these machines. We will work mainly with the IQ Positioning App and IQ Designer. Machine needed: Meridian, Altair, Destiny, or Solaris. This is class is free to anyone who has purchased a Baby Lock machine from The Sewing Studio. There is a fabric kit we prepare for the class and the cost of this kit is $20. Some supplies are needed and Natalie will call you with the supply a few days before the class. We will take an hour lunch break in the middle of the day.
