After the successful class for beginners, we decided to add more paper piecing classes. We plan to use the Starry Block of the Month Book by Carol Doak to work from this year. Each month we will work on one block. The cost of the class is $25 for the first class and $15 for any additional classes. You will need to bring your sewing machine, standard sewing supplies, cutting mat, straight ruler or Add-A-Quarter Ruler, rotary cutter, and Starry BOM Book. The Sewing Studio will provide copies of the block on paper-piecing paper, and an iron and ironing mat for each participant. It is suggested that you purchase at least a Layer Cake of fabric and a couple of yards of background fabric to create your blocks. You can join us any month, even if you did not start with us. Call the shop at (806)792-3863 to reserve your spot!

This year, we wanted to create a class that would teach beginners the basics of piecing. This 4 month series will start with how to properly cut your fabrics and work all the way to quilting and binding your project. We are often asked to do smaller embroidery projects that would be great as gifts or just a great project to get you started with embroidery. Join Debbie to learn the best techniques for embroidering on a tea towel. Has it been awhile sinch you took the Longarm Rental Certification? This class is for you! Natalie will spend time with you this day reviewing all the information covered in the certification course. Many of you have commented that you would like to rent the longarm, but do not feel confident in your skills. We are hoping this refresher class will help. We plan to offer this class once every month so if you can not make it in May then maybe you can make it another month. Show your creativity on your feet! Quilted sneakers are so popular right now, and we get to have our very own classes right here in the shop! Join Natalie to learn how to put together a pair of your very own Patchwork Kicks. The cost of the class is $25. You will also need to purchase the All-Inclusive Kit ($84.99) which includes everything you need to complete your sneakers. The kit will be provided for you the day of the class. You will need to bring at least three Fat Quarters of the fabric to use on the sneakers. You will also need to bring your sewing machine, scissors (for fabric and paper), 1/4″ Seam-A-Seam Lite fusible tape, and thread to match. The Sewing Studio will provide an iron and ironing mat for each participant.
