Quilt Blocks
Have you ever wanted to learn more about the traditional blocks used in quilt patterns? Join Carrol to learn about some of the more popular quilt blocks and how to stitch them together. This class is designed for the beginner quilter. This year, we will use the It’s Sew Emma Vintage Christmas Quilt Book by Lori Holt and pull blocks from this book each month. The cost of the class is $25 for the first class and all additional classes are $15. You will need to bring your sewing machine, standard sewing supplies, cutting mat, straight ruler, rotary cutter, It’s Sew Emma Vintage Christmas Quilt Book and needed fabrics. Side Hustle
Side Hustle
Join Natalie to learn how to pull together this fun and useful bag. This can be used as a sling bag or a fanny pack. The cost of the class is $25. You will need to bring your sewing machine, standard sewing supplies, cutting mat, straight ruler, rotary cutter, Side Hustle Pattern, and needed fabric and supplies. The Sewing Studio will provide an iron and ironing mat for each participant. It is important to make sure you have all of your pieces cut out and finish the quilting of the main body before the class day so that we can make sure you will complete the project that day. One of our goals this year is to add more garment type classes. This month we are going to try out pajama pants! Join Anne to learn how to make these fun and comfy pants. The cost of the class is $25. You will need to bring your sewing machine or serger, standard sewing supplies, 28mm rotary cutter, marking tool (pen or chalk), pins or clips, multipurpose or polyester thread, and needed fabrics. Baby Lock IQ Positioning Class (Solaris, Altair, Meridian, Destiny)
Baby Lock IQ Positioning Class (Solaris, Altair, Meridian, Destiny)
Join Natalie for the day and learn more about the IQ Positioning Technology built into the upper level machines. We will create a cute cell phone case using some of the specialized features of these machines. We will work mainly with the IQ Positioning App and IQ Designer. Machine needed: Meridian, Altair, Destiny, or Solaris. This is class is free to anyone who has purchased a Baby Lock machine from The Sewing Studio. There is a fabric kit we prepare for the class and the cost of this kit is $20. Some supplies are needed and Natalie will call you with the supply a few days before the class. We will take an hour lunch break in the middle of the day.

Longarm Certification Part 1
Longarm Certification Part 1
Have you always wanted the opportunity to longarm your own projects? Now you can! We started the longarm certification program at the end of 2024. This is a three part course. The first class, you will learn about the Kinetic Frame, loading your quilt, and how to free-motion quilt with our Baby Lock Regalia. The second class, you will learn how to utilize ProStitcher to quilt your projects. The third class is a one-on-one class where you will quilt your own project from start to finish. After you have completed the course, you are certified to rent the Baby Lock Regalias we have in the shop. The cost of the three part course is $150. This will cover the three classes; as well as, The Sewing Studio curriculum binder with videos we will use for the duration of the course. The bow trend has been all over the internet. You can even find designs for all kinds of events. Join Natalie to learn how to customize your own shirt with these cute designs! The cost of the class is $25. You will need to bring your embroidery machine, stick tear tear away stabilizer, no show fusible mesh cutaway stabilizer, wash away topper, shirt/sweatshirt, needed fabrics and threads, and have the side seam design of your choice downloaded on a USB stick. The cost of the class is $25 for the first class and $15 for any additional classes. You will need to bring your sewing machine, standard sewing supplies, cutting mat, straight ruler or Add-A-Quarter Ruler, rotary cutter, and Paper-Pieced Quilt Blocks Book. The Sewing Studio will provide copies of the block on paper-piecing paper, and an iron and ironing mat for each participant. It is suggested that you purchase at least a Layer Cake of fabric and 2 yards of background fabric to create your blocks. Have you ever wanted to learn to quilt circles? Join Natalie to learn how to make this fun and creative quilt. The techniques used in this quilt make it easy to create circles using the Ovals All Over Creative Grid Ruler. The blocks are over-sized so that they can be squared up before pairing off the blocks.
