After the successful class for beginners, we decided to add more paper piecing classes. We plan to use the Starry Block of the Month Book by Carol Doak to work from this year. Each month we will work on one block. The cost of the class is $25 for the first class and $15 for any additional classes. You will need to bring your sewing machine, standard sewing supplies, cutting mat, straight ruler or Add-A-Quarter Ruler, rotary cutter, and Starry BOM Book. The Sewing Studio will provide copies of the block on paper-piecing paper, and an iron and ironing mat for each participant. It is suggested that you purchase at least a Layer Cake of fabric and a couple of yards of background fabric to create your blocks. You can join us any month, even if you did not start with us. Call the shop at (806)792-3863 to reserve your spot!

Has it been awhile sinch you took the Longarm Rental Certification? This class is for you! Natalie will spend time with you this day reviewing all the information covered in the certification course. Many of you have commented that you would like to rent the longarm, but do not feel confident in your skills. We are hoping this refresher class will help. We plan to offer this class once every month so if you can not make it in May then maybe you can make it another month. Embrilliance is a program you can purchase to edit and create embroidery designs. We will spend the morning learning about the program and creating the July 4th Design. We will send our time in this class learning about BX Fonts, utilizing the side panel, stitch simulator, and creating designs. The cost of the class is $15. You will also need to purchase the Embrillance Essentials Product. You will need to have Embrilliance loaded onto your laptop and ready to go for the class. We will not have time to get it loaded during class. If you need our help, give us a call and we will schedule a time with Natalie to help you download the program to your laptop. You will need to bring your laptop to the class. In this class, we will take the July4th design we created in the Embrilliance July 4th Class and stitch it out on a shirt of your choice. The cost of the class is $15. You will need to bring your embroidery machine, stick tear tear away stabilizer, no show fusible mesh cutaway stabilizer, wash away topper, shirt, needed fabrics and threads, and have the July 4th design downloaded on a USB stick. If you have questions about the design or the shirts we used, please call the shop. The Sewing Studio will provide an iron and ironing mat for each participant.
