Come learn about your newly purchased sewing machine. Debbie walks you through these complimentary classes if you recently purchased a new Baby Lock machine at The Sewing Studio. Mastering your new machine is important to us and we want you to be satisfied with all that your Baby Lock machine has to offer! Have you ever wanted to learn to quilt?  This would be a great class for you!  Carrol will teach you everything you need to know to get started.  We will focus on all the basics including cutting and piecing. The cost of the class is $25 for the first class (January 18th) and $15 for the second class.  You will need to bring your sewing machine, standard sewing supplies, cutting mat, straight ruler, rotary cutter, Stepping Stones Pattern and needed fabrics. Have you even wanted to learn how to quilt using your embroidery machine?  Natalie will teach you how to edge to edge quilt in the hoop during this class. The cost of the class is $25.  You will need to bring your embroidery machine, largest embroidery hoop (at least a 6×10), embroidery threads, and Edge-To-Edge Quilting on Your Embroidery Machine Pattern Book. Have you ever wanted to learn more about the traditional blocks used in quilt patterns?  Join Carrol to learn about some of the more popular quilt blocks and how to stitch them together.  This class is designed for the beginner quilter.  This year, we will use the It's Sew Emma Vintage Christmas Quilt Book by Lori Holt and pull blocks from this book each month. The cost of the class is $25 for the first class and all additional classes are $15.  You will need to bring your sewing machine, standard sewing supplies, cutting mat, straight ruler, rotary cutter, It's Sew Emma Vintage Christmas Quilt Book and needed fabrics. Join Natalie to learn how to pull together this fun and useful bag. This bag is similar to the Poppins Bag but a little easier to put together. There is no hand sewing. The cost of the class is $25.  You will need to bring your sewing machine, walking foot, standard sewing supplies, cutting mat, straight ruler, rotary cutter, Uptown/Midtown Pattern, and needed fabric and supplies. The Sewing Studio will provide an iron and ironing mat for each participant. It is important to make sure you have all of your pieces cut out and finish the quilting of the main body before the class day so that we can make sure you will complete the project that day. Embrilliance is a program you can purchase to edit and create embroidery designs.  We will spend our time in this class learning about the different icons, merging files, fitting to hoop size, opening files, and layering. The cost of the class is $25.  You will also need to purchase the Embrillance Essentials Product.  You will need to have this load onto your laptop and ready to go for the class.  We will not have time to get it loaded that evening.  If you need our help, give us a call and we will schedule a time with Natalie to help you download the program to your laptop.  You will need to bring your laptop to the class. Join Natalie for the day and learn more about the IQ Positioning Technology built into the upper level machines. We will create a cute cell phone case using some of the specialized features of these machines. We will work mainly with the IQ Positioning App and IQ Designer.  Machine needed: Meridian, Altair, Destiny, or Solaris. This is class is free to anyone who has purchased a Baby Lock machine from The Sewing Studio.  There is a fabric kit we prepare for the class and the cost of this kit is $20.  Some supplies are needed and Natalie will call you with the supply a few days before the class.  We will take an hour lunch break in the middle of the day.
